A New Year!!

We welcome in the New Year with a new name and a new business. As I mentioned in my last blog, last year was horrible and we just had some terrible software problems and banking problems. We requested, and were released from our franchise agreement and we have now started our business over under the name TC Tax Service.

We have refurbished our office and are in the process of getting new signage, a new Logo, business cards, stationery, etc.

I will make a strong effort to begin blogging again. There are so many new tax laws and changes this year that will give me much to blog about.

Well, the Holiday season is over and it’s time to go back to work. I had a wonderful Christmas Holiday with all my family in a mountain cabin up in the North Georgia mountains. It just went by too fast.

Tax season is just about to get started. The phones are ringing off the hook with people calling about tax loans and wanting to know when they can get their money. With the current economic conditions, I think that everyone will be in extremely early to get their taxes done this year. Of course, the IRS doesn’t open until the 16th of January, so it is still a couple of weeks away.

I hope everyone who reads this had a Happy Holiday season and I hope the New Year will be prosperous for all of you. I’ll be posting more on Income Tax and continue with my series on business entities later this week.

Bad Day At The Tax Office

Well, here I am making excuses again. Today was the most frustrating day I’ve had in months. None of the software in our office worked today and I’ve been pulling my hair out all day. We are leaving tomorrow for a mountain cabin in North Carolina and we will not have internet and we will not have wireless phone service. So, I guess I will take a good book. I will try to get on a better schedule after Thanksgiving.

Back In Town

I made a couple of posts and then we had our Annual Franchise Meeting in Las Vegas. We were out of town for eight days and just recently got back to Valdosta. I had planned on posting while we were gone, but just didn’t make it. Too many activities in Vegas and we also did some additional traveling. We went to the Valley of Fire National Park outside of Las Vegas and after our Conference, we went to the Grand Canyon and spent a couple of days.

I will get some posts out now that I’m home and have the time.

My First Blog !!

Today I am writing my first Blog!! My son has about three blogs and I’ve been contemplating a Blog about Income Taxes for some time. We recently asked my son Kenny to help us out and I think I have the hang of it.

I want to keep the content low key, but I want to post helpful topics that people will find interesting and useful. Hopefully, I should be able to keep it interesting with all the stories and day to day events in an active Income Tax Office. I want to post at least 5 days per week, but my wife and I are leaving Sunday to attend our annual Convention in Las Vegas. I will attempt to blog from Vegas, but I may be too busy with the training and of course the Slots, Blackjack and all else.
